Wheat Flour Cake



Hey Guys

What's up ??? From long time I have not listen from you all.Hope everyone enjoying the New Year.Winter days are quite lazy and short as sunlight is for less time.I too feel so lazy in getting up in morning to prepare tiffin for my hubby.But that' my responsibility to do.After cooking , I again sleep for some time ;) .... so that's my daily morning routine .... Share your's too with me...

Being at home whole time is quite boring.And in winter this boredom increases more.Here in US winter's are quite worse than India.Very low temperatures and snow everywhere.Going out is a big task in winter.So better be at home... be cozy.. hot ... with a hot cup of tea... watching everything from window... sometimes such simple things also give immense pleasure and peace from inside.... Eating piping hot is a full-time desire in winter's.Me and my Hubby have a sweet tooth :)... After every meal we want something sweet to it.So I need to keep some or other option available all the time.In winters its easy as so many things we can make and that to good for health.Like TillGudh(TillJaggery)  Chikki or Ladoo , Dryfruits Ladoo , MoongDal Ladoo , Carrot Halwa  etc...




Today I am here with a delicious , yummy and healthy cake recipe for all those who have sweet tooth.Its a Wheat Flour Cake with goodness of Banana and Almonds with less sugar.It will be healthy as we are not using Maida and also sugar proportion is less due to use of banana.So let's start with ingredients.

Ingredients :-

Wheat flour  1 cups
Sugar 1/2 cup
Bananas  2 medium size
Oil ½ cup (Oil like Olive or Vegetable Oil will be good)
Baking powder 1 tsp
Baking soda  1 tsp
Chopped almonds ½ cup
Raisins 1/4 cup
Vanilla Essence 1 tsp




Procedure :-

Firstly preheat the oven at 350°F.

Mashed banana in a bowl nicely.You can used masher or hand mixer so that no lumps should be left.Then add the oil , vanilla essence and sugar in it.Now with the help of hand or hand mixer give a nice churn so that everything mix together nicely.Once mixing is done sieve the wheat flour , baking soda and baking powder in the bowl.Now with the help of spatula fold the flour in mixture.Add half of the almonds and all the raisins to the batter.Now apply some oil to the cake tin and dust some flour on it.Nicely wrap flour on tin so that our cake will not stuck in the tin.Now pour the batter in the tin.Tap it nicely from all the side so that flour get spread properly in the tin.Garnish with rest of the Almonds.

Now place the cake tin in the pre-heated oven.Bake it for around 50 minutes.Continue Baking until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.Then, take the tin off the oven and let it cool on a cooling rack.

Once cool down take out from the tin into the plate.With the help of another plate make it flip.Cut it in your favorite size and shape.Enjoy with your loved ones :)




Note :-

1) You can used dry fruits of your choice.
2) After 25 minutes check the Cake in the oven.If you feel its getting dark from outside but not fully cooked from inside.Drop the temperature of Over to  320°F.
3)Not over-mix the batter after adding flour.
