Rawa Ladoos




Hello Everyone....

Ganpati baapppa Morya... Urjavarshi Laukariya ....



At last 10 days of lovely ambiance and religious fragrance got finished... And ganubhaiya chale gae :( ... It feels unpleasant from inside as ganu bhaiya goes... whole home feels like something missing... Me and my husband went for visarjan .... with tears in eyes we said bye bye to ganu bhaiya.. and just prayed to come soon next year and keep always his blessings on everyone.... 



Last time I shared with you Coconut Ladoos... The yummy super hit in my family... everyone loved it.. friends family... everyone... :) :) ... Then I prepared Anjeer Khoya barfi... that too was in lime light... After that I prepared the Rawa Ladoos... for my Ganu bhaiya... This blog is for Rawa Ladoo...



This is a popular ladoo prepared almost in every household for all the festivals... as Ganu bhaiya loves ladoo so thought will make for him Rawa Ladoos... So lets start with the recipe...

Ingredients

1 cup semolina or rawa
1 cup sweetned milk powder
1/2 cup shredded coconut
3-4 tsp sugar
1 tsp cardamom powder
1/2 cup nuts of your choice
1 cup ghee
2-3 tbsp milk
some finely sliced almonds for garnishing

Procedure

On medium heat take half cup ghee in pan and roast the nuts till they become brown.Then take out nuts in the plate and in the same pan add semolina.Roast on  medium low flame till it becomes little brownish.... And smell comes from it.Take out in a plate to cool down a bit.Then when it light warm add milk powder, cardamon powder , Roasted nuts, ghee , sugar and shredded coconut.Mix well with hands.Try to make then ladoos.If you are facing difficulty in making ladoos.Then add some milk to the mixture and then bind the ladoos.Garnish them with sliced almonds...



Ladoos will be good for a week in air tight container :) :)

Coconut Ladoos

Ganpati Bappa Morya !!!!!!!! 




Hello All

Happy Ganpati days to all .... God bless everyone with good health and good fortune... This is my pray to Lord Ganesha :) :) .... Ganesha favorite god of mine... "Oh my Friend Ganesha tu rehna sath hamesha" :) :) ... He is so cute and innocent ... I share my all the things with him.. As for me he is my true friend and also my lovely bro ... I don't have my real brother...So my mom told me from my childhood that your brother..and will take care of you... So from childhood I am tying him rakhi ..and also sharing every small thought of mine with him... and yes seriously I feel he is always with me :) :)..




Every year on Ganesh Chaturthi me, my small sis and my dad will dress up early in morning and will go together to bring ganpati at home... and my mom will do all the preparations at home to welcome Ganesha at home... It was so much fun those days... we decorate the temple..and till ten days daily arati with everyone.. every where the ambiance is full of spirituality .. lots of sweets... It feels to good when ganpati is at home :) :)




After marriage things get changed..now I have my own house... so this is the first time me and my husband brought ganpati to our home :) :)... And that too away from India .. in US... here it was a total new experience... so I asked everything from my mom how to do preparations and process of puja... and finally Ganesha my bro.. is with me :) :) ... So now same as my mom I also neeed to take care of him.. with all his favorite things ...So here I prepares... COCONUT LADOOS... lets start with it...




Ingredients :-

2 cups of shredded coconut(Frozen will also work fine)
1/2 tin of condensed milk or milkmaid
1/2 cup of milk powder
1 tsp cardamom powder
2-4 strand of kesar (optional)
1 tsp of ghee

Procedure :- 

Heat a pan add ghee to it.Then add shredded coconut.Stir at low medium flame for 3-4 minutes.Then add milk maid, milk powder and cardamon powder.Mix it well.Roast it till it become that we can from ladoos. Then take out mixture in plate.Rest the mixture for 2-3 minutes.Apply little ghee in hands.And take small amount of mixture in hand an form ladoos.. Then just cover it with dry shredded coconut.And ladoos are ready... Good for 4-5 days :) :)




So such and easy and melt in mouth recipe of ladoos..ready in minutes... Enjoy with Ganu bhaiya ..and your family...
